NEW FOR 2025
When it comes to relaxing holidays, sometimes less is more, and if you’re looking for a comfortable, no-frills base in a very convenient location, Chez Bruno is the one for you.
The house sits within easy walking distance of popular Tosse village, where you’ll find all the holiday essentials including a boulangerie for your morning baguettes and a handful of restaurants, from traditional French to crowd-pleasing pizzerias. It’s an attractive little place, surrounded by typical Landes forest and connected to the coast and surrounding villages by a network of cycle paths, one of which you can join about 200m from the house.
Chez Bruno is ideally sized for a smaller family and gives you a lot of outside space for rest and play. Vines entwine round the shady terrace, and there’s a little pool bar if you fancy shaking up some holiday cocktails – look out for the local favourite Floc de Gascogne (a blend of Armagnac and grape juice) and mix as you wish. The lawned garden comes complete with a badminton/volleyball net and table tennis for family fun, and comfy outdoor seating for chilling out after a day in the saddle or on the water.
On the edge of Tosse is the Etang Blanc nature reserve, a peaceful spot for a walk even in the height of season, and when it’s time for sea and surf, you’re equidistant between the Sud Landes’ famous beaches and chic Hossegor, both a 15-minute drive away. The eponymous Bruno lives next door and will pop over to maintain the pool, but otherwise you have the house and garden to yourselves for a great-value week or two of sand, sea and summer simplicity.
Good to know… new photos of this villa will be available here on our site from spring 2025.
Local Area
Tosse village is your first port of call for local shopping and eating out, conveniently walkable in a few minutes from the villa. You’ll find a wider choice in Hossegor, which is full of independent shops and cool cafes catering for the surfing crowd. A little further south is Capbreton, considered more authentically Aquitaine by those in the know and renowned for its working fishing port and restaurants. Head inland and you’ll be rewarded with a bike- and walker-friendly landscape of pine forests, lakes and lagoons. For a day off the water, there’s a popular 18 hole golf course at Seignosse, or you can take the car to enjoy the contrasting landscapes of the Basque country villages, the Belle-Epoque architecture of Biarritz (40mins) or the majestic peaks of the Pyrenean National Park.
An in-villa chef and meal delivery service is available by arrangement

Our choice of French properties is diverse, ranging from simple charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
* For further clarification on Facilities and Amenities, please view the 'Details' tab for each property or speak to one of our experienced sales consultants.
Once entirely marshland, this region is now a natural playground of sand dunes and beaches, pine forests and picturesque lakes, where walking and cycling are the most pleasurable ways of getting around. An idyllic meeting of France and California with truly spectacular waves and wide-ranging cuisine, upmarket Hossegor thrives on a surfing culture of stylish, laid-back living. However, in authentic Capbreton next door, and many of the towns and villages no more than an hour away, the historical roots go deeper and there’s much to explore.
