White Oak Tree Villa sits on a peaceful, elevated site surrounded by enclosed, lawned gardens, providing the perfect counterpoint to its impressively sharp architectural lines and gleaming white pillars. It’s both modern and elegant, with views stretching across the surrounding countryside to the sea. In the near distance lies Venetian Rethymno, little sister to Chania and one of the most historic and attractive towns on the north coast.
At 180sqm, the house offers generous space for up to six guests, finished with a dash of designer flair. Luxury bathrooms and hotel-quality beds elevate the experience, while a flexible twin/double bedroom configuration ensures comfort for families and groups of friends alike. Outdoors, there’s a wide sun terrace, a large swimming pool, a 50cm-deep splash pool for children and non-swimmers, and a bubbly Jacuzzi that can be heated for use in the cooler seasons.
Dining by the pool is an essential holiday pleasure, and the option of both shady and sunshine spots means you can enjoy the alfresco experience all day long. When you want to explore, the nearby traditional village of Prines offers tavernas and a mini-market within walking distance. For beach lovers, the north Crete coastline is just a short drive away, with Gerani beach reachable in 10 minutes. Rethymno, also a 15-minute drive, is a must-visit. Crete’s third largest city, this charming university town boasts a vibrant harbour, a delightful Old Town, and a unique character all of its own.
White Oak Tree Villa is one of a pair; each villa is entirely independent of the other, but there is a gate connecting the two gardens should you wish to rent both villas together for a larger party.

As the birthplace of Zeus, Central Crete carries a certain historic and spiritual gravitas. Knossos, the Minoan Bronze Age palace, steals the show, but there are many other smaller archaeological sites, churches and towns to cast you back in time.
