NEW FOR 2025
If we were to sum up the essence of Puglia in a single property then it would probably be this one, with its chunky, cappuccino-coloured stone, beautiful barrel-vaulted ceilings and the classic conical roof that makes trulli houses so distinctive. Add to this a tranquil setting in a 10,000m2 plot and you have a delightful and authentic base conveniently located between UNESCO-listed Alberobello and the sea at Monopoli.
Originally built as a store house or perhaps a farm dwelling, Trullo Iana has been sympathetically extended to create a tasteful three-bedroom holiday home, decked out in neutral colours with a smattering of local antiques. The thick walls and tiled floors lend an atmosphere of cool calm, but there’s air-conditioning too if you need it. The layout is a little quirky as befits a historic building, with two double bedrooms in the main building and a new annexe housing a third one, ideal for two couples looking for a degree of privacy as well as company on holiday. Outside, there’s plenty of room for you all to relax in the Mediterranean gardens or around the pool, with a summer kitchen and barbecue for long, convivial evenings beneath a canopy of stars. The sea sparkles in tantalising glimpses from around the pool, and when you want a closer look, it’s just a 20-minute drive to the beach at Capitolo. There are a handful of small local restaurants within six minutes by car, but to experience the full joy of eating out in Puglia, we recommend driving a few kilometres further to Monopoli and losing yourself in the lively maze of the old town, or taking a stroll around the clifftop splendour of Polignano a Mare.

Our choice of Italian properties is diverse, ranging from simple charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
