You in a nutshell…
I asked my son (aged 15) how he would sum me up, and this is what he said: "If anything doesn't work, don't panic and just call Mum, she will have it sorted in approximately 3.5 minutes".
Why do you work in travel?
I love working in the travel industry because it’s all about helping people explore the world and create amazing memories. Every day feels like an adventure, and I get to share my passion for discovering new places and cultures. It’s fulfilling to know I’m part of making someone’s trip special.
Why do you love your destination?
I love how life here feels balanced, with time to enjoy the little things, like a croissant in the morning or a stroll by the river. France just has this way of making you feel at home while still surprising you with its beauty and culture. It’s a place that truly makes life feel richer.
Your top tip…
Just because its well known does not mean its the best - come off the beaten track and I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Not a lot of people know this but…
One of the more quirky and lesser-known aspects of Île de Ré is its tradition of dressing donkeys in trousers, known as "les ânes en culotte." This practice originated to protect the donkeys from insect bites while they worked in the salt marshes. Today, it's a charming and unique part of the island's cultural heritage.
