- Spacious contemporary villa
- Panoramic sea view
- Large lawned garden
- Polignano a Mare beach 10-minute drive
Just a ten-minute drive from the centre of vibrant Polignano a Mare, and with some of Puglia’s most unique attractions nearby, few locations exceed expectations quite so memorably. However, Villa Flavia, a combination of pared-down Scandinavian minimalism and contemporary Italian flair, is more than a match for its location, with an expansive garden and beautiful free-form infinity pool, along with all the peace and quiet you could wish for.
Space and light are the essence of this contemporary villa, the owners’ ‘less is more’ vision, brought to life with the help of a dedicated team of architects and engineers. Large windows and floor-to-ceiling glass doors invite the sunshine in at every opportunity, so even if you choose to eat inside rather than out on the covered dining area, there’s not a dark corner in sight. High ceilings, pale tiled floors and natural wood, polished to a shine, only enhance the overall effect of lightness and brightness.
Outside, in addition to a generous terrace, the large lawned garden is a showcase of traditional Mediterranean plants and flowers, including fig, orange and olive trees. The swimming pool is gently shelving, perfect for laid-back relaxation when the view out to the blue horizon, a meeting of sky and sea, isn’t enough to soothe you. And for an extra indulgence during your stay, a number of additional services paid for locally are also available, from private chefs to in-villa massages. You can book them through our local concierge.
The local area
Villa Flavia offers you the perfect base from which to explore the Blue Flag beaches and beach clubs around Polignano a Mare. This coastal town, its picturesque Old Town perched on a cliff edge, is an artistic centre as well as a venue in the annual Red Bull Cliff Diving competition. Whilst your nearest restaurant is just a two-minute drive way for the villa, Polignano also offers a choice of excellent restaurants and plenty of history to tantalise those with a fondness for ancient churches and narrow winding streets. It’s one of many fascinating towns in the area. Another is Alberobello in the unspoilt Val d’Itria, home to the famous trulli village, the ancient conical buildings that are a hallmark of this fascinating destination.

Villa Flavia is a peaceful and relaxing accommodation. Lots of space around the gardens and a fantastic pool. It has a great and uninterrupted view. The distance to places of interest and the nearest town Polignano is short. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding areas and I would definitely return.
We loved the peace and tranquility of Villa Flavia and for a keen swimmer the pool was excellent.
We had a brilliant stay at Villa Flavia. The villa was excellent and tremendous value. The pool and garden were well maintained. Additionally, the staff - concierge, assistants, taxi service and Simpson staff were incredible. I can only recommend this villa and Simpson travel. Thank you.
Villa Flavia was perfect. Easy access for exploring yet really ideal for chilling out, especially the pool. Support from Francesco, Nico and his team was fantastic from the moment we booked and throughout our stay. Their attention to detail was exemplary. The icing on the cake, literally, was when Ketty visited the villa on Sunday morning to present me with a locally made cake to celebrate my birthday. Kindness like this is not forgotten. Once again many thanks for a truly enjoyable week.
Loved our family week here – amazing pool, garden and view. So easy to drive to pretty Puglian towns of Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Alberobello and Conservano with some amazing food!
Thank you for a wonderful stay in your stunning villa. Our children (8 and 4) had the BEST time in the pool and we loved catching up with our friends.
The pool and villa offered a wonderful setting for the much-needed rest we all needed! The perfect location for exploring southern Italy.
Fantastic location close to Polignana a Mare which had fabulous restaurants to visit and bars. We were lucky to get to watch the World Cup series of the Cliff Diving competition. The villa's pool is fabulous and set within a beautiful garden with views to the sea in the distance. We visited a number of villages close to the Villa Ostuni, Matera and Alberobello.
Fantastic pool and gardens. Great fun for all the family. Thank you for a lovely week.
We have just returned from our first visit to Puglia, staying in Villa Flavia. The villa was simply wonderful with the most stunning swimming pool with views from the veranda over the pool to the Adriatic Sea, only interrupted by the swallows swooping down to drink from the pool in front of us as we sipped our ice cold drinks in the evening. We enjoyed lazy days at our new home, to days venturing out for sightseeing, sea bathing and gastronomic treats. Simpson delivered again, we have now been to three different countries, on 6 or 7 occasions (so many we are losing count) with them, and every time we returned happy, rested and already planning our next Simpson Travel holiday as we land back in the UK!
Villa Flavia was stunning and we had the most wonderful, relaxing week exploring the area and making the most of the stunning pool. Francesco couldn’t have been more helpful, making excellent dinner recommendations, arranging a cake for my daughter’s birthday and being on hand for every silly question we had! Polignano was the most magical place and we loved exploring its streets and stopping for cocktails in the sun.
Had a lovely week here! Enjoyed going out on day trips and coming home to the pool. Alberobello was worth a visit, as was Ostuni. Monopoli also a good place to visit.
We had a lovely stay here at Villa Flavia. Amazing setting. Nearby Polignano was great for eating and drinking. We had an amazing few weeks, thank you!
Beautiful villa in good condition, pool was our favourite part. Lots of interesting towns in the local area with lovely restaurants. Thanks so much.Lydia, Gaby, Geoff, Alex and Kathryn.
Simpsons yet again have facilitated our perfect holiday. Villa Flavia was breath taking. Ketty, our concierge ( our best ever)!. We came home yesterday and are booking our next Simpsons Villa tomorrow. What more can I say. Thank you to all at Simpson and in Puglia who delivered a class act yet again.
Had a great few weeks in the villa and Puglia. Francesco was a brilliant rep with lots of excellent recommendations. Highlights were Ostuni (busy) and Locorotondo (as pretty with less people) plus wine tasking at I Portini and olive oil tour and tasking at Masseria Bracanti (the last tour the children enjoyed a surprising amount!!). Polignano also nice to wander around and have a drink or even to jump off the rocks if feeling brave! However, always hard not to keep coming back to the swimming pool.
We had a perfect week in Villa Flavia. First time in Italy and we will definitely be coming back! Francesco was an amazing rep and helped with book a boat and getting a birthday cake. The local town is lovely – most restaurants are all Mediterranean food – hard to find a restaurant if you don’t enjoy fish. Overall the weather and pool was brilliant.
We’ve had a fantastic holiday. We so enjoyed the pool and garden and will take home great memories. A big thank you to Francesco for settling us in and always around if we needed him. A holiday to remember – love Italy.
Villa Flavia is beautiful, with an amazing pool and gardens. Full of flowers, bees, fruit! Our rep, Francesco, was extremely helpful and responsive. The villa is peaceful and charming – it is really difficult to leave the villa!
We had an amazing two week holiday in Villa Flavia. The pool is fabulous and we made the most of it with the gorgeous weather. The villa is wonderful too and we enjoyed it all. It really was a fabulous holiday and Francesco, the Simpson Travel representative, was superb throughout – booking dinners and events for us and always there when we needed him. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and came home with lots of happy memories.
Thank you for our holiday in beautiful Villa Flavia. We enjoyed every minute. Puglia is a gorgeous region and this villa is in the perfect location to explore the nearby towns, villages and countryside. Thank you also to Francesco, the Simpson Travel representative, who helped us settle in, gave us fantastic tips and booked us tables at lovely restaurants and beach clubs.
