- Beautiful contemporary villa
- Stunning sea and mountain views
- Light and spacious
- Santa Giulia Beach 10-minute drive
- Porto Vecchio 15-minute drive
Alzitella is perched on the hillside below the village of Pietra Longa di Salvini, enjoying spectacular mountain and sea views. What lies below is no less breathtaking: buzzing Porto Vecchio, the cream and turquoise beaches of Santa Giulia and Palombaggia, and fold upon fold of dense, fragrant maquis.
The contemporary design of Alzitella is very much of today, with no compromise on space, light or functionality. The decking around the kidney-shaped pool sprawls the length of the house for deliciously indolent days, and the wall-to-wall French windows open onto a broad terrace, perfect for your morning cafe au lait or evening drinks as the summer sky fades gently into lilac and star-studded indigo.
The sleepy village is easily accessible by car, since the road leading up to it skirts the grounds below, and those picture postcard beaches are a ten-minute drive away.

Fabulous holiday with a great company providing a personable experience
We had a great week here: the villa speaks for itself. Pool, layout, facilities... Our stay was made by the recommendations of restaurants, trips and beaches by Samantha the Simpson's rep. She booked places to eat we would never have found, or tried, and helped us through the initially tricky beach/beach club and all that goes with that info. Our day in the mountains and the river swimming pools were awesome. Really great holiday.
Fantastic holiday, stunning villa, amazing views! Sam & Claire (concierge team) were incredibly helpful, went above and beyond! Would highly recommend Simpsons Travel.
We enjoyed our week at Alzitella - lovely pool and great view
Were this property a wine, we'd be giving it 5/5 on Vivino. Stunning view and facilities. Simpson Travel are clearly on top of their game in this area, would use them again.
The Villa was in a beautiful elevated position, and properly equipped for our stay. It was a very comfortable place to be as well as being very private.
We’ve had a wonderful time here – loved the views and the pool very much and the beds were very comfortable.
We’ve had a wonderful week in this beautiful villa. The mountains look stunning and different throughout the day. We would love to visit again. So much to explore and felt we only scratched the surface of what Corsica has to offer.
We had a glorious time - it was our honeymoon and we had the most perfect relaxing week. The villa was extremely well equipped, fantastic views and the pool was perfect. We would definitely book with Simpson again - Sam our local rep was beyond helpful and looked after us extremely well. Thank you.
Fantastic villa. Really well thought through for every comfort - faultless!
A perfect 40th birthday in Corsica. Amazing villa, kids loved the pool. Would love to return.
Got to the villa and was amazed at how beautiful it was! The views are amazing. Col de Bavella is a long journey up the mountains but well worth it, the mountain range is spectacular. Had a great week, plenty of sunshine. Pozzo di Mastry is a lovely place to go – a little different as you don't get a menu! You are given drinks to start and then they just bring plenty of food to share. Fantastic time- would come and visit again.
Had a fab week at this amazing unspoilt island. Loved the villa and the pool was great. The views here are incredible and we loved watching the lizards. Our favourite places were Bonifacio, especially the old town; the sunset is spectacular from there. Porto Vecchio is also lovely; we loved wandering around the old town. Rondinara beach was our favourite; going on the pedalos was great fun. Thank you Joelle for a great stay.
After a week at Alzitella we find ourselves struggling to leave the beautiful view we have enjoyed for the past week. Corsica has not disappointed on the occasions that we have pulled ourselves away from the pool. We have enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the square in Porto Vecchio where we would recommend the Shirley bar (where the crêpes and galettes are delightful) and the Shanka bar for casual food. The beach bar, Chez Anges, at Rondinara is excellent, whilst the multitude of restaurants along the harbour in Bonifacio must be experienced. Bonifacio itself is stunning and the boat trips and climb to the citadel are worth experiencing to fully appreciate the coastline of southern Corsica. The sunset from the villa proved to be a delight in the evening time and something that we will greatly miss.
We are just finishing a week here in beautiful Corsica. It's our first visit and we have been impressed with the variety that this island has to offer. Staying at Alzitella has been a delight; there have been only three of us so plenty of space and the villa is very well equipped. I really appreciated the welcome pack left by Joelle for our arrival. The views are spectacular, especially as the sun rises in the morning. We really loved driving up into the mountains and the walk to the waterfall, Piscia di Gallo is brilliant. The boat trip from Bonifacio was well worth doing. The Corsicans we have met have been lovely and welcoming. We have had good service at all the restaurants but especially at L'Ondella on our first evening.
Southern Corsica is absolutely beautiful and we have very much enjoyed our week here. A trip to the waterfall and the Medieval town of Bonifacio are both worth doing. We had a very nice dinner at Furara a Prova in the old town at Porto Vecchio. The Spar nearby is good for shopping but Le Clerc in Porto Vecchio has everything.
Wow, what an amazing place. We have loved staying in this beautiful, special house. The views are exquisite and house so comfortable and well-equipped. We have adored the beautiful beaches – Palombaggia is stunning and Linda beach restaurant superb. The children loved the pedalos as Santa Giulia and it was lovely for a long walk down the beach, and Rondinara was so pretty with all the boats and that fantastic restaurant. There is so much we would like to go and explore so will be sure to hurry back to Corsica. The contrast of the busy, beautiful beaches in the day to this beautiful haven to return to in the evenings has made this week unforgettable. Thank you, Kimberley, for all her great advice and tips. We loved the wine list!
We thoroughly recommend Simpson Travel. Friendly and knowledgeable staff both when booking and when in Corsica. Villa Alzitella has the most amazing views and is very well equipped and located.
This has been a lovely villa to stay in. We have had a great holiday here, jumping in and out of the pool and enjoying the amazing views. The beach at Rondinara was lovely and we visited there a few times. There restaurant there was good too, with incredibly quick service and tasty food. Other good restaurants to try are: L’Ondella which is on the road to Porto Vecchio, Palm Beach at Palombaggia. Thanks for a great stay.
We have absolutely loved out time in beautiful Corsica and are so sad to be leaving. It is a little piece of unspoiled paradise and we cannot wait to be back as we felt there is so much more we would like to see and explore. The boat excursion (Le Croisière Exclusive) was absolutely amazing, stopping off in Carra Tunghja and Porto Cavalo for lunch. Experimenting with the zipline in L’Ospedale and lunch with a view afterwards was truly memorable. Dinner on the beach at La Fort in Santa Guilia was also amazing. Thank you for your kind hospitality. Kimberley, you have been so warm and welcoming and we cannot wait to come back!
Another wonderful stay in Corsica. Great villa, well equipped, quiet and absolutely stunning views. A few suggestions: Tamariccius beach – park for €5 in the first car park next to Playa Baggia or pay €10 in their car park but you can reclaim this from the bill if you eat there. Clear water and good snorkelling. Rondinara beach – easy parking €5 and one restaurant, great for lunch but get there early to avoid queues. A Chabraca restaurant for lunch or dinner, great views and very friendly. Chez Franky does excellent chicken/ribs/veg and amazing potatoes – on roundabout on way into Porto Vecchio. Bocco d’Oro pizza restaurant – again very friendly and great food. Thanks to Kimberley for all her help and advice. We will be back!
Simpson Travel are a pleasure to deal with whilst booking a holiday, before going on holiday and during a holiday. The attention to detail and knowledge of the staff makes planning a holiday so much easier and more pleasurable. Alzitella is set in a beautiful location with stunning views of the mountains and coast. It’s not too far from beaches, restaurants and places of interest. It has a great layout and is very nicely finished. Corsica is a beautiful island and we will be visiting again with Simpson Travel.
Our first time in Corsica, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Villa Alzitella is lovely – a gorgeous oasis to return to after a day sightseeing. We enjoyed the drive up to Zonza, and the dam and reservoir at L’Ospedale. The beaches and colour of the sea is amazing. We loved Palombaggia and Santa Giulia – but most of them are pretty amazing! The boat trip at Bonifacio is a must, to view the town from the water, and the old town is nice to explore too. A special ‘thanks’ to Kimberley for all her help and tips. We will be back… Hopefully sometime soon!
This villa is lovely! Thank you to Sam and the owner for repairing and replacing the TV after the storm. Not really warm enough for the pool and a ‘windy week’ but that didn’t stop us enjoying Palombaggia beach (park on the road and walk down to Tamaricciu). Petit Sperone is a must – walk round the bay from Piantarella. The mountains are spectacular! We also enjoyed Sartène and Filitosa very much and Bonifacio. On our last day we packed in Santa Giulia (walk along towards the marina and find a perfect small beach – lovely water) and Rondinara which was exquisite – right down to the passing cows on the beach! Restaurants on the beach are expensive locally but ‘Sputria’ in Porto Vecchio near the church is good for lunch. We enjoyed the electric blinds – one touch and they all close. A special thank you to Sam! Great advice and updates.
Beautiful vistas with the scent of the maquis filling the air early morning and evening. A very tranquil corner of Corsica with visits by blue nuthatches for their early evening bath in the remaining sprinkler water. Would recommend shopping locally at Proxi in Sotta – the owners are so obliging and the drive down there (take left turn at ‘bins corner’) is delightful on the backroads. Our day in the mountains met with a ‘lucky’ diversion on the D59 from our original destination of Levie to the thermal baths at Caldane and on to Sartène, a wonderful citadel with a huge resistance history and legacy. A real gem on the other side of the Cagna mountains. Great gelato and cocktails too! P.S. Huge thanks to Sam for her guidance, patience and tenacity. A real asset to anyone’s stay and very kind.
This is the third time we have travelled to Corsica with Simpson Travel, the first two holidays being some years ago. How right we were to return once again, both to Corsica and with Simpson. Such a beautiful island and a great villa with pool in a great location high above some wonderful beaches between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio. And, Simpson Travel's impeccable service seems to have got even better, everything going off without a hitch. Very helpful reps. Glorious weather helped too of course. We would find it hard to find fault with our two weeks away.
Our holiday villa in Corsica booked through Simpson Travel was a wonderful experience. From the professionalism of the booking agents, and overseas reps. The attention to detail of related things like car hire, flights, valet parking, on-line management of your booking, request to provide some extras for our 3-year-old. It was all 5-Star. I don't want to say where we stayed as I want to go back there again and again!
A beautiful villa with the 'wow' factor. The villa gardens have been very creatively landscaped to blend in with the natural environment and surroundings.
Stunning setting: beautiful sea view in one direction and dramatic mountain views in the other. A wonderful villa to spend a week in, especially when days out were cut short by our 8-month-old baby. Many thanks to Simpson Travel.
Best holiday service we have ever experienced. Every member of staff without exception was helpful, flexible, prompt and efficient. The villa was also the best we have ever had. I am reluctant to recommend Corsica as I don't want it to change. The development of the island has been brilliantly done.
Beautiful location. Magical place.
Our choice of Corsican properties is as diverse as the island itself, ranging from simple seaside charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal. To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
